New Revised Regulations Create a Brighter Future for You

The Rehabilitation Act of 1973 has supported people with disabilities for more than 40 years by offering services, promoting awareness, and providing fair opportunities for people with disabilities. The newly revised Section 503 prohibits federal contractors and subcontractors from discriminating against people with disabilities and requires employers to take affirmative action in recruiting, hiring, training, promoting and retaining people with disabilities.
These new rules are expected to create more employment opportunities for people with disabilities.

Thank you for your comment! We are happy to hear your are ready to get back to work. If you are a SSDI or SSI beneficiary ages 18 through 64, the Ticket to Work program may be able to help you. Through the Ticket program, you can work directly with an Employment Network (EN) or Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) agency that can provide you support services so that you can be successful. The goal of the program is that over time you are able to work enough to earn your way off of benefits. Your service provider will be committed to that goal! You can learn more about the program on our website at www.socialsecurity.gov/work. You can also speak with one of our representatives at the Ticket to Work Help Line to learn more! The number to call is 1-866-968-7842 (V) or 866-833-2967 (TTY) Monday through Friday from 8:00AM - 8:00PM ET.
I received my Ticket Back to Work and ended up getting re-revieved. They decided they had made a mistake as to my making substantial income and went back five years making me responsible for an overpay of over $30,000, then they refigured my benefits which resulted in them dropping by $400 a month. Don't do it unless you want to get screwed!!!!

We recommend contacting a Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) project year you. WIPA projects can give you one-on-one counseling on how work will affect your benefits, and understand the reporting requirements and provide advice on how to avoide overpayment situations.
