Aug 28, 2015

Radio tower with soundwaves coming out from the topSince 1999, the Ticket to Work program has helped thousands of Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) beneficiaries explore job options. This year, as we celebrate the Ticket to Work program's 15-year anniversary, and the 25-year anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), tune into this podcast with Billy Wright.

Billy is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, who was paralyzed in a car accident after his time in the military. Since the accident, Billy has built a career in roles that help job-seekers with disabilities overcome barriers to employment. Billy transitioned into the civilian workforce before the Ticket to Work program was established, and understands both the struggles that people with disabilities face and the benefits of Ticket to Work and Work Incentives.

Tune in to hear Billy reflect on these challenges, and the lessons he has learned that can help people with disabilities find financial independence.
