The webinar will present facts about Social Security programs and rules that may apply to you. The webinar will provide details on Ticket to Work and Work Incentives, employment supports for people with a mental illness and more resources.

Kendra Berry is the Supervising Community Work Incentives Coordinator with Indiana Works, a Work Incentives Planning and Assistance (WIPA) Project.  Kendra provides benefits counseling to people age 14 through retirement, helping them understand how work and earnings may impact their Supplemental Security Income (SSI), Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI), health care and other public benefits.

Kendra also used to work as a case manager at the Community Mental Health Center in Indiana. Case managers assist adults living with severe mental illnesses to live in the community. Case managers monitor doctor's appointments, medicine and help people with mental illnesses to meet the overall goals they set for themselves.

During this webinar a representative from Operation: Job Ready Veterans (OJRV) will also discuss support for veterans with a mental illness. OJRV is a not-for-profit organization located in Indianapolis, Indiana that helps prepare service members, veterans, military spouses and caregivers for successful employment. OJRV connects those who have served and their supporters with employers that seek top tier, well-trained employees. OJRV makes a personal connection and helps veterans of all skill levels with their employment and career goals.

Sheriene Knox is the Ticket to Work Coordinator for OJRV. Sheriene has over 25 year's experience in developing and managing Employment Services Programs for people with disabilities. As a member of the Indiana Supported Employment Training Team (ISETT), Sheriene has trained hundreds of Employment Specialists on how to assist people with disabilities to find and maintain quality employment.
