WISE Webinar logoWISE ASL Interpreter Tips

Thanks for joining today's Work Incentive Seminar Event (WISE) webinar. We suggest providing the following tips to your ASL interpreter at the beginning of the video call.

Good afternoon,

  1. We are joining a 90-minute webinar that will begin at 3 p.m. ET.
  2. We recommend dialing in 5-8 minutes before the webinar begins.
  3. Once we join, you will not hear anything until the webinar begins.
  4. Your telephone will be muted throughout the webinar, and you will not be able to communicate with those attending or hosting the webinar.
  5. The telephone number and access code/room number that you need to connect your audio are below:

Toll-Free Number: 1-800-832-0736
Access Code/Room Number: 4189148#

Toll-Free Number: 1-800-832-0736
Access Code/Room Number: 4189148#

  1. Once the webinar begins, we will see the presentation slides.
  2. During the webinar, there will be one or more question and answer sessions. During this time, I may look away from you to type a question using my keyboard. The webinar provides real-time captioning, and I may refer to the captions while I type my question.
  3. The webinar will not pause when we change interpreters. I will refer to the captioning until the change is complete.
  4. Do you have any questions about interpreting the webinar before we begin?
  5. We will now 'stand by' until the webinar begins.

Thank you!
