October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM). The focus of NDEAM is to educate people about disability employment issues and celebrate the many contributions of America's workers with disabilities. While Social Security does not record a beneficiary's race nor ethnicity, the U.S. Census Bureau estimated that at least 10% of all adults that receive Social Security benefits because of their disability are Hispanic.
